Honey Boo Boo or Sleeping Beauty?

Ok. So first of all, you may be wondering why my new URL is emmadil. Well I was going to have it be dilemma but somebody is already using that. If you want you can always just go to my twitter page and click on the new link to get used to it. So next, I would like to ask all of you what you are going to be for Halloween? I found this super cute homecoming dress at Dillard's and I wanted to get that, a crown, and a bottle of Mtn. Dew and say I'm Honey Boo Boo. Or I was going to wear my elegant maxi dress that looks like a nightgown, and say I'm Sleeping Beauty. Those are my ideas, what's yours?

Movie Review and Bible Verse

Last night my friend, me, and both of our dads went out for Chinese. I must say it was very delicious! When my dad and I got home we watched "Playing for Keeps". It was phenomenal! I definitely recommend it!

It's Been so Long

Wow! It's been so long since I've been on this blog! To update you on my life I am now in High School. It is not easy. I made high school Show Choir though and that's oober fun. My choir director has convinced and slightly forced All State upon me so I will be trying out for that in just a few weeks. All of the other All State kids from my school are super amazing singers and I've gotten very close to them. Based on my experiences so far I have concluded that High School is so much different from Middle School.

My Love Story, That is no Longer

This is how I feel right now when I think about one of my past "relationships". Here's how the story goes, in poem form.

There was a girl, who met a guy,
It seemed hopeless at first, but she gave it a try.
She asked him to banquet through a note.
And she tried to so hard not to gloat.
He gave her no direct answer,
And she started to get antsier.
One day, they were crammed in a car.
With oo's and hoots coming in from a far.
She tried to play cool, and not to droll.
But he didn't even go to her school.
When they arrived at their destination,
She entered the building with lots of hesitation.
Though there was nothing to be worried about, they got along just fine.
But she felt her heart was hanging on a line.
They played with an empty box, enjoying their time.
Neither one knew, this was just a crime.
When they were done, they got back in the car.
And drove to a place seeing stars.
Their love was growing, and she knew it.
But she didn't know she her heart was going to split.
They went to Walmart and bought a few things.
She felt she had a pair of wings.
Hey Liam, she said,
you know what'd be nice, if you bought me this pillow pet.
He responded with, I would if I had any money left.
The thought of him saying something so sweet.
Left tinglings going from her head to her feet.
He's the one, she thought,
I like him alot.
She's the one, he thought,
I like her alot.
You'd think this love was true.
But when a wind came by, nobody knew.
This love would soon, wither and die.
Leaving her alone to break down and cry.
He said he liked her, what could've happened?
Everything around her started to blacken.
She talked to him and you know what he said?
It was a that kind of place that kind of time, he was messing with her head.
She believed him, a common mistake.
One that had caused her heart to break.
Things are all awkward now,
Not a single word has been allowed.
I thought there was something special,
We were inseparable.

What happened to that lovely time,
I don't know, we ran out of rhymes.

This poem was about a guy I liked and then he broke my heart. We ended up going to banquet together but after camp, we barely talked. I was heart broken and I decided to express this through a poem. Please don't hate, this is a really sensitive topic for me.

               This has been quite an interesting week for me! Last Saturday I competed at the Optimist Speech contest but I didn't even place. It was a good start though, seeing as it taught me many things and I look froward to speech in high school. 
        Last night my 10 yr. old cousin, who lives in Minnesota, Hallie, was taken to the hospital because she was having trouble breathing, but they found out what was wrong and she's now home. It gave us all quite a scare because when my other cousin (her little sister) ,Ellie, was born she had some spinal issues and almost died. It was a hard time and I just didn't want to see that happen again. I'm glad God was on our side and it wasn't anything to serious. 
        On a happy note, tomorrow we find out who got the solo in our ballad for Show Choir, I See the Light, from Tangled! It sounds beautiful and whoever gets it (hopefully me) I will be happy for. 
        That's all I have for this weeks news, but for all you people out there reading my blog, I want you to know that no matter what, everything happens for a reason.

First Time Out

Hello, fellow bloggers! This is my first post and it's about what my blog is going to be all about. First, I'm going to start off with telling you all about who I am. My name is Emma and I'm the youngest of my family of 5. I have 1 brother, and one sister. I'm 13, I love to sing, and I am a faithful Christian. This blog is going to be about random stuff. If you have any suggestions, please just comment or e-mail me. My mom is an author and she has her own blog (Inkspirational Messages). My dad is a youth specialist and he works with Iowa State Extension. Both of my siblings are in college. One's a junior and the other is a freshman. I will update my blog every Monday (if I can).
